It's been a while since we have made the last weekly poll and today we've thought of something neat to see how the accidental drop rating of the Galaxy Y is doing.

In this week's poll, we are gonna ask you the following question:
Q: How many times have you dropped your Galaxy Y?
A: Answers will start from 5 to over 50.

We all know touchscreen phones aren't the best when it comes to dropping them on the ground as it could fall down on it's face and crack the screen a little or even half. It would also be fun to post your stories here on how you've dropped yours and if they have survived or cracked.

This weekly poll is inspired by my 7 year-old cousin who is a huge Galaxy Y fan that he made himself his own smartphone from cardboard and drawing.

Ace-i-Sure is a custom rom based off the Samsung Galaxy Ace's firmware (atleast that's what I am aware of) ported by tom411 from xda-developers forums. This rom is not themed to look like an advanced TouchWiz version themed rom, neither does it represent a ICS/Jelly Bean look but rather something quite unique.

Please note that this is not based off Galaxy Y's official firmware but from another phone so you may experience some problems now here and then. If so, you may post your problems here as a comment or better yet, if you have an xda-developers forums account you can notify tom411 about the issue so that it will be fixed in the future releases.

[ROM] CyanogenMod9 Nightly Build for Samsung Galaxy Y

    Saturday, June 22, 2013
    Posted by Unknown
    Tag :
Yeah, yeah, we all know that we barely got a cyanogenmod7 fully working on the Samsung Galaxy Y, but that shouldn't get in the way of trying to port cm9 to work somewhat like cm7 on the little Galaxy Y.
A week ago, percy_g2 started a thread at xda-developers forums with an unofficial build of Cyanogenmod9.

Note: Please don't expect to see fully working features on this one as it doesn't have the progress the Cyanogenmod7 build has. By installing this you should be aware of the bugs you will experience and various functions not working, please keep the hateful comments away.

The build we will have a look at in this post will be Build #2 with the changes:
"Overlay fixed for ldpi (no more fc in phone app and overlapping)"

Download CM9 Nightly Build #2- Click here.

    Instructions:
    1. Flash white kernel 1.3.3 using Odin (hopefully you should know how to do that if you're planning on testing a rom like CM9) - Download kernel
    2. Boot into CWM Recovery
    3. Go to mounts and storage and mount /system /data and /cache
    4. Go back, choose to install zip from sdcard
    5. Locate and choose the CM9 zip file
    6. Choose Yes when asked to confirm
    7. After it is done installing, go back, wipe data
    8. Reboot
Below are some of the things that are currently not working and the things that are being worked on.

    Not working:
    No camera
    No audio
    No wifi
    No bluetooth

    Issues worked on:

    Overlay for ldpi (fixed)
    Audio
    Bluetooth
    Wifi
